Our statement of faith

We believe in…

  1. One God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, creator and sustainer of the world.
  2. The divine inspiration of the Bible and its supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
  3. The dignity of all people, made in God’s image, yet corrupted by sin, and so subject to God’s judgment.
  4. The incarnation of God’s Son, Jesus Christ, truly divine and truly human.
  5. The sacrifice of Christ on the cross, paying the price of sin and defeating evil, and so reconciling us with God.
  6. The bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ, his ascension to the Father and his reign with the Father in glory.
  7. The personal return of Christ as Saviour and judge.
  8. The Holy Spirit in us, whose activity leads us to repentance, unites us with Christ through new birth, empowers our discipleship and enables us to be witnesses to Christ.
  9. The Church, which is the body of Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit to worship God and share the gospel through what believers say and do.
