Female Night Support Workers (Bank staff)
inHope is looking for a female Bank Staff Night Support Worker, to join the team on a casual contract. This role involves working occasional night shifts, ensuring that Spring of Hope (inHope’s female night shelter) offers a consistent and reliable service for women.
NIGHT SUPPORT WORKERS work in pairs (one waking, one sleeping-in) to oversee the night shelter at Spring of Hope, providing and promoting a mutually caring and safe environment for women staying overnight. They draw upon Trauma and Psychologically Informed approaches to welcome women for the night, ensure that they feel settled and help them to be ready the following morning. The expectation is that guests sleep overnight, but staff are on hand to offer help when needed.
The Bank Night Support Workers could be offered either Waking and Sleeping-In shifts. Both shifts are from 9.30pm to 8.30am.
Waking Night Support Workers – Responsible for overseeing the night shelter, with up to eight women each night. This role involves staying awake for the whole 10.5 hour shift. It is paid at £12.82 per hour.
Sleeping-in Night Support Workers – Provide support to the Waking Night Support Worker. This role involves being awake from 9.30-11pm and then 7-8.30am, plus waking to provide additional support where needed. This role is paid at £12.82 for each waking hour, plus a sleeping-in fee of £50.
The successful candidates will have experience of working with vulnerable women and be able to work both as part of a team and individually. She will be person centred with a sense of calling to clients and the aims of the service, whilst also able to maintain strong boundaries.

Female Sleeping-in Night Support Worker
inHope is looking for female Sleeping-in Night Support Workers to join their Night Support Worker Team. These roles are crucial in providing support to the Waking Night Support Workers, providing a safe and supportive environment for women who are experiencing homelessness. The successful candidates will have experience of working with vulnerable women and be able to work both as part of a team and individually. They will be person centred with a sense of calling to clients and the aims of the service, whilst also able to maintain strong boundaries.
These roles involve working primarily between 9.30pm and 11pm and then again between 7am and 8.30am. Between 11pm and 7am, Sleeping-in Night Support Workers are provided with somewhere to sleep, but may be woken to provide additional support if needed through the night.
There is an Occupational Requirement for these roles to be filled by a woman.
