We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the Investors in Volunteers accreditation!

Investing in Volunteers is the UK quality standard for all organisations involving volunteers. Amelia Glanville, inHope’s Volunteer Manager says:

“Passing this standard is evidence that we are committed and strive to ensure that volunteers have the best quality experience possible as this reflects what is deserved. The incredible contribution made by volunteers is not only appreciated, but valued in-line with this national standard, and beyond this measure. We are truly thankful and blessed by each individual volunteer, and want them to know that they are integral to inHope”.

Investing in Volunteers is unique in that it is the only standard that focuses on volunteers. It is based on the following six quality areas:

1. Vision for Volunteering

2. Planning for Volunteers

3. Volunteer inclusion

4. Recruiting and welcoming volunteers

5. Supporting volunteers

6. Valuing and developing volunteers

We were assessed against six quality areas and passed every one. Denise Hayward, Chair of UKVF (the Awarding Body) said,

“UKVF is delighted to announce inHope‘s successful achievement of this Award, they have demonstrated a real commitment to volunteering, proven that their volunteer management policies and procedures meet nationally recognised standards.”
