Spencer is a Chartered Surveyor and working as Development Director for a private property company, leading both local and national projects within both the commercial sector and residential housing sector. Whilst originally from London, Bristol has been home to Spencer for over 20 years, with him growing a strong affection for the city and its people. Having served as a volunteer in the Wild Goose as Duty Manager for several years, Spencer is keen to support the strategic aims of the charity in this role. Having witnessed first-hand the needs of service users, he is keen to make a positive difference for those in need.

Spencer is married to Lindsay and has two young daughters. He is an active member and regular worship at Redland Parish Church. His interests include travel, hill walking and being outdoors with the family and the dog. A quiet and less advertised admission is his continued support from the arm chair for West Ham United.
